About

Zad is a mobile investment platform that integrates both robo-advisor and trading features while strictly adhering to Shariah compliance.

With its comprehensive features, users are allowed to navigate and manage their investments effortlessly, while ensuring their financial activities remain within the bounds of Islamic law.

The Mission

In the process of developing a custom mobile app, our goal was to assist Zad in offering features for stock trading aimed at everyday customers aged between 20 to 40. The target audience was those desiring to enhance their income but who do not possess professional investment experience. We aimed to provide a secure and user-friendly interface, conveyed in a professional and supportive tone, that would instill confidence in the users. The ultimate objective was to empower them in their journey towards financial autonomy and ensure they feel a sense of security and assurance.

The Challenge

The primary aim of our project was to develop a visually striking design that is not only clean and approachable but also functional. We focused on simplifying complex features to improve ease of use for potential users. We aimed at crafting a design that would inspire users and optimize their journey through the platform, making it as efficient as possible.

Research

As a global agency, we are adept at adjusting to various cultures and their unique characteristics. In this particular project, we conducted an in-depth study of the leading stock trading apps in West Asia, and familiarized ourselves with the tenets of Shariah law.

UI&UX Design

We developed comprehensive wireframes as a guide for the product, capturing all functional elements and features for each screen to streamline the design process. We initially targeted the Robo-advisor component, but as the project progressed, Trading mode was added at the client's request.

Wireframes

Our team constructed detailed wireframes as a definitive blueprint for the entire product. Serving as a visual roadmap, these wireframes encapsulated the functionalities, features, and interactions of each screen, enabling us to maintain a uniform and regulated approach towards the design process.

Initially, our core focus was specifically on the Robo-advisor mode, which provides clients with smart, algorithm-driven financial planning services with minimal human intervention.

However, as the project advanced, the clients decided to transition towards a more versatile platform including traditional Trading mode, which allows for real-time, manual buying and selling activity. This gave way to an all-encompassing trading platform.

Risk Profiling

Risk profiling in fintech is an improved form of the KYC process that helps us gain a deeper understanding of the users through their risk preferences. This approach enables us to tailor a highly personalized and valuable trading experience, fostering enhanced client satisfaction and stronger customer relationships.

Upon completion of the risk profiling process, the user has the opportunity to experiment with the backtrack portfolio feature. This allows regulation of the fund amount and investment period, enabling the user to see potential earnings. It offers a chance to interact with and understand the app's features before deciding to create a personal portfolio.

Our graphic design team created custom illustrations, aimed at complementing the app's workflow. The goal was to create a more animated and engaging user experience, delivering emotional responses and fostering a friendly interactive environment. This was done to make users feel the personalized care and attention, the service extends to each one of them.

Portfolio (Trading Mode)

The portfolio, a critical feature in an investor's activities, is situated on the main interface showing balances, shares, and portfolios for easy access. We have prioritized the display of the account balance and the individual performance of the shares owned by the client.

Stock Page

As stocks formed the cornerstone of the application's operations, the requirement to incorporate complex functionalities and a comprehensive data structure within a single screen was a demanding task. We have come up with a tabbed layout in our mobile app design. This approach accommodates multiple features (Chart, Profile, Statistics, Order Book, Analyst Rating, Dividends, Corporate Events, News, Events) within a minimalistic interface, balancing complex tasks with user-friendly navigation for an efficient user experience. An extra feature is also available for users to set alerts to keep track of the changes in the stock price.

Discover

On Discover section the users can explore daily market trends such as hikes and drops, popular stocks, and most active companies. Also, they can check the proposed compillations to analyze the market before making their own investment decisions.

In an effort to decrease the cognitive load on users, we've distinctly differentiated the sections. This is done with the objective of enhancing user experience, as it makes it far easier for them to comprehend and digest the content. By breaking up the interface into different thematic blocks, we aim for a streamlined visualization where users can quickly identify and focus on the aspects most relevant to them.

Watchlists

Watchlists are an integral part of the app, serving as a personalized hub for users. This resourceful section enables users to track the performances of the companies they have an interest in effectively. Not only does it provide real-time updates, but it also consolidates relevant information, offering users the convenience of having everything they need in one centralized location. This streamlines the process of staying informed about market movements, making it easier for users to make informed decisions about their investments.

Orders

Select from four different types of orders and determine either a monetary value or a share quantity, depending on what your budget permits. Review all order details thoroughly and ensure they're clearly understood prior to finalizing. This prevents any potential errors.
